4 January 2010

The Open University in the West Midlands is currently involved in several projects to generate interest in the region's food heritage at a time when many local products are in danger of being forgotten. We will be organising a series of discussions with local producers of apples, cider, beef, cheese, perry, amongst others, and will be working in association with the West Midlands Food Academy at Harper Adams University College, the Transition Town movement, Slow Food and Herefordshire County Council. The first series of discussions in spring 2010 will be on 'Herefordshire Food Heritage', followed by 'Shropshire Food Heritage' later in the year.

Let me know if you wish to be involved
